Dr. Raphael A. Guerrero

Dr. Raphael A Guerrero obtained his Ph.D. in physics from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2005. At present, Dr. Guerrero is an Associate Professor of the Department of Physics, Ateneo de Manila University. He has served as president of the Physics Society of the Philippines in 2011 - 2012. In 2013, Dr. Guerrero was awarded with “The World Academy of Sciences Prize” for Young Scientists in Developing Countries. Dr. Guerrero is the member of OSA and SPIE. Prof. Subir Kumar Sarkar received his B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD Degrees from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta, India and Post doctoral fellow from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. He served as an Executive Engineer in Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), A Govt. of India Enterprises, for about 10 years before joining the teaching profession. He has been serving at different faculty positions in Bengal Engineering and Science University and Jadavpur University since 1992. Presently he is a Professor and Head, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He has published 4Engineering text books and few are in pipeline. He has published more than 440 technical research papers in archival International/ National journals and peer –reviewed conferences in the field of Devices, Mobile ad hoc and Sensor Networks, Digital watermarking, RFID and its Applications. He has filed one Indian Patent vide file No: 669/KOL/2013, dated 5thJune, 2013. To date, 31 scholars have been awarded PhD (Engg.) degrees under his guidance and 2 more have submitted their theses leading to PhD. He has completed/ongoing 14 R&D projects as sole Investigator and 3 as Co-Investigator sponsored by different Govt. of India funding agencies. His most recent research focuses are in the areas of nanodevices and low power VLSI circuits, Ad-hoc Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, Mobile Communications, RFID and its Applications and Digital Watermarking and Data security. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Life fellow of IE (India), Life fellow of IETE, Life member of ISTE and Life member of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS)
